June-October 2008

NCWFA whippet rock! Cara (Tina Graham) is flying in the field, completing both her major titles - ASFA and AKC Fchs - in the summer. The black flash is not done yet, and is now working on her LCM and LCX and is in the Top 25 in AKC Coursing! River (Casey Pope) finished his FCh in his home state of CO! We are also happy to report a new Canadian CH. was earned by LuLu (Donna O'Toole), while her older and wiser housemate Simon (Donna O'Toole) kept things interesting and was awarded BOS at the AWC Western In Lompoc! Last but not least, that handsome brindle Tiger (Don McGuire) finished his show championship in record time, with his last big win coming at our October Specialty show!

March-May 2008

Celebrating two AKC Champions sisters in March! Fly (Erin Campbell) and Ruby (Brad Briscoe) completed their titles within a week of eachother! Handsome fawn guy Tanner (Debby & Rick Knutson)also completed his show title with a nice major in February. We also have to give kudos to the the NCWFA and NCWFA connected whippets who did so fabulous at the AWC National Specialty in Oregon in April - the red rocket Ruby (Brad Briscoe) won one of just ten select awards given out of almost 100 champions! Syrah (bred by the Odrons)won Best of Winners over more than 100 bitches to complete her title. Winning their classes at the National were Tiger (Don McGuire), Bodie (LaDonna Lundgren) and Pie (Guin Borstel & Helen Hultman)! There were plenty of NCWFA dogs in the placement ribbons at this prestigious event too - check out the latest issue of SPEED to get all the scoop!

January 2008

Celebrating two AKC Champions in December! Maya (Erin Campbell) and Hallie (Andrea Meyer) completed their titles! We are also happy to report a new CD was earned by Big Mo (Cheryl Boyer) at the last show of the year! We also have to give kudos to the two NCWFA whippets who made the AKC Lure Coursing Top Twenty for 2007 - father and daughter team Rocky (LeeAnne Bastian) and Misty (Tina Graham). This dynamic duo came in tied at # 17!
