Field Trial Secretary's Report

Our AKC lure coursing trial on Sunday in Oakland was a great success due to the wonderful participation of our member volunteers, our member whippets, and our wonderful guest volunteers and other participants both human and canine.

Special thanks to club members Paula Rickert (field chairman), Wendy Gay (chief assistant to me), Rodney Gay (lure operator and general assistant), Todd Wilhoyte (paddock master extraordinaire and chief Paula assistant), Guin Borstel (my other chief assistant), Christine Borstel (check in goddess and general assistant), Donna Wilhoyte (main field-office liaison) and Angela Pearson (newly minted field clerk).

Also helping in a big way were Greg Witt (lure operator), Margaret Harris (huntmaster), Jayme Jones (huntmaster) and at least one other huntmaster and field clerk and probably others whose identities have escaped me.

We had 85 entrants passing inspection for the trial and 24 for the JC test.

Our wonderful judges were Kathy Kelly and Libby Leone who did a bang up job.

Congratulations to all our coursers and particularly to our Best in Field, Rhodesian Ridgeback Zane!
