2019 Summer Supported Entry
We are excited to announce our Summer Supported Entry will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Contra Costa KC show at "Woofstock". Our judge will be whippet-breeder Stephanie Dycha (Mason Hill Whippets). The American Whippet Club will be supporting the entry on Sunday, June 9th, and the judge will be Lynn Harwood of Australia. Beautiful rosettes & prizes at both Supported Entries!
2019 NCWFA Specialty Show Celebration
The 2019 NCWFA Specialty Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 19th at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, in conjunction with the Del Valle Dog Club of Livermore show.
Our judges this year are Mr. Harold "Red" Tatro (Redglen Whippets) for all Regular Specialty Classes & Mrs. Harriet Vincent (Cottonwood Whippets) for our Puppy & Veteran Sweepstakes. Judges are pending AKC approval.

Whippets as Show Dogs
Conformation, otherwise known as dog showing, is a favorite activity for many whippet owners. In these events, qualified judges evaluate each dog, looking at structure, movement, and overall appearance, to determine which one is closest to the breed standard. Successful dogs can earn the title of CH (Champion), and champions may continue to compete for the Grand Champion title, group placements, and Best in Show.
